Today I was Invited to an Indian wedding along with My Family.
Indian weddings are always full of Pain and curiosity to me. “” Pain “” because I have to wear Indian clothes in which I put Myself 1 out of 10. I Like Indian clothes very much. But I don’t know how to Put that 7 meter sari all around me. I tried to Learn from my Mother in law… from the sisters of my husband and also I tried myself from You Tube, but still I can’t manage to put it properly. Once I have put it I can manage it pretty well but putting it is a really pain to me.
Anyway somehow I had managed to Put the Salwar Suit Today. In the Last wedding I wore Sari). So I went along with My family and here are a few pics I had just taken from my Mobile.
Every photo has One story…
This is where the wedding reception was organised. It is just 200 mts from My Home. It was a Big field turned into a wedding reception Place… seems to be quite Nice in the Night…
This is how the The Bride and Groom are welcomed in Indian weddings. They sit in the front and the People come and greet them one by one. And I saw people mostly giving some envelope to them. I guess money…!!
This is the famous Paan stall in the wedding. People eat Paan after their meal in India. Paan is basically Beatle Leaf and some sweet material is stuffed inside this. You chew it and feel the taste of the leaf and the stuff together… strange but good… This is what they put inside the Paan
Below is the round water balloon.. Paani Batasha…
Trying some hands on the famous Indian Chaat…
Chaat is basically Potato fried and served with some curd and sweet sauce and some boiled chick peas beans…
Indian Bride and Groom Family Photo session.. This is how everyone comes and shoots the pics with them…
At the end… as always my husband is fond of sweets… he can’t help himself… so he went and took some sweets. This one is his favourite. Called “Imarti”
Something circle circle… dipped into sweet syrup… I guess…
Anyway… To me the Indian wedding was full of surprises because I never saw something like this in my life… where the People come and join together and show affection to one another… as in India expression of affection in Public is not common… even if it is a family affection…
Strange… But wonder experience…
