I just saw the documentary of the BBC called Secret Lives “Middle East Taboos” with the title Operation Virginity. I guess you can understand with the title of the program what was it all about. The women which were shown in the documentary confessed that they lost their virginity at the age of 14-16. Wow can you imagine, I thought it was only the west which was labeled the early age virginity looser but after watching the program I think it’s same all across the world but it’s just that it’s secretly guarded by the society.
Some of the women who lost their virginity went to Paris to repair and reconstruct their hymen which was very surprising because they said they were so scared that if their family knew about it they will certainly kill them in the name of honor and even if their family didn’t kill them, they will never get marry as the society accept the sexual experience of men but they can’t accept a woman to have it.
One women said that she lost her virginity, so she went to Paris to restore her hymen and after 3 weeks she got married. On the wedding night she was afraid that the husband will know that she was not a virgin and they will punish her but to her surprise next morning the husband congratulated her parents as the bed sheet was red. Now the woman has two kids from that man and the man still doesn’t know and she says that she will not reveal the secret until she goes to the grave. What a life… the most important relationship is based on a lie but she has no choice… it’s about the survival I guess… it’s about the life or death.. she chose life.
I think in India they don’t ask for the virginity certificate as in the Middle East but I guess somehow somewhere this way of thinking is still going on in the minds of Indian men.

In my travels to India I have learned that in the villages (as opposed to in the cities), if an unmarried girl is caught having sex, or it is found out that she is not a virgin at marriage, her father is obligated to kill her. Hmmmm…
@Bigcloudmusic yes, recently I found out about the “honor killings” in India, they were all over the news and surprisingly not only in the villages but also in places like Delhi. Apparently relatives kill in the name of honor to couples who dare to have a “love relationship” as opposed to the arranged ones. Even one “love” married couple with a child suffered this cruelty and both were killed. It makes you shiver.
Girls can do anything to betray MEN that what it make sense worldwide
