Won’t Somebody Come Take Me Home?

I woke up early by some construction noises… it seemed that my new neighbours decided to start the redesigning of their home on a holiday. I tried to sleep again but it was just not possible. A cup of cappuccino it was and a movie on TV. The winter is here and I love it. I like going out when it’s foggy and feel the cold in my face, maybe because it reminds me home and lately I’m missing home a lot. My other home I mean, my home far away from the chaotic India, where everything is much easier and I can be myself. The place where a part of my family and friends are and where I once belonged.

Most probably after few weeks I’ll be wearing tons of clothes and just feeling like a snow-woman but I really don’t care, this is my favorite season and a good cup of camomile can soothe me.

I decided to have a light lunch, a soup seems like a perfect option and I really don’t need more. My phone rang… it’s a girl I met recently, but I’m not sure if we can be friends yet. She just asks me so many questions and suddenly I just want to stop talking to her. I’m still not able to understand why Indians get so curious and ask you such personal questions. I’m sure it has something to do with the normal Indian psychology but it’s just that I don’t get use to it. I wonder if some day I’ll be able to have a friend here… I mean a real friend who will treat me just like a normal person and not like some entity from another planet.

There was nothing interesting on TV so I thought of warming up by doing some jogging… “Maybe running will take away all those mixed feelings going around in my head”. An hour later I felt much better and after a quick shower I stepped out for a long walk. I thought about walking until the metro station and going somewhere but then I remembered that the metro must be so crowded on a Sunday evening and I decided to go to my local coffee shop instead.

I walked back home slowly and watching everything around me. I had a tic tac box inside my jacket pocket. I just like the sound of the box as I move it around.

I reached home and my love was there… long hug… “I missed you today” I said and he looked at me with his loving eyes…”your nose is cold” he said… “I know” I said… and we laughed. “So what did you do today?” he asked…  “Oh you know me, I’m always busy in something” I said playfully. He laughed. Gosh, how much I love that laugh.
