Few months back I went to see the renovation of the India Gate. I always like to watch this monument whenever I pass with the car and sometimes I go there just to walk around.
At that time, workers were cleaning the India Gate but still many people were all around, foreigners, Indians and even families were taking photographs and just admiring the monument.
It’s a little difficult to notice it at the beginning, but there are many names carved in memory of the soldiers who died in war. I could only read few of them with the help of my camera.
Also a famous spot is the unknown soldier’s tomb or the Amar Jawan Jyoti. You can watch there a permanent flame that symbolizes immortality.
What I like more about the India Gate is the people that gather around and enjoy spending some time with their friends or family. There’s even a boating spot and of course photographers always wanting to sell you a picture. I tell them that I already have a camera and that they can use it to take my photograph. So I get a free pic!
The best are just the open spaces, the green grass and places to just walk, read a book or maybe have one ice cream. Simple as that.

Even tho its literally been YEARS i ve been there..i still remember goin there as a kid wit Family n Cousins..n playin wit those Balloons or Frisbees n stuff
It used be a picnic, wit dinner involved too at times wen there were no Mosquitoes

I like it too… it definitely gives a different scenery to Delhi. So you use to go and have picnics AND dinner there!
Yep there are always vendors selling all sorts of things. The resolution is not so high but if you click on the pics you can see them bigger. It’s good to have the magic of the camera to capture what we can’t see.

Bt definitely, the time spent there was Amazin..All those games n icecreams..Damn i wanna go back
