Bollywood is a magic world where everything is possible and this time they have added a few spoons of Spanish to spice up a Hindi song.

Cricket World Cup 2011, Madness in India

Yesterday I truly understood the madness about cricket in India. I mean, it was total craziness. People do love cricket so much that all the streets were empty. I love empty streets, so I thank the cricket for this miracle ha ha. Only few women, girls and children were out there, but really most of the people were watching the game. Well it was India vs Pakistan, so it was a very sensitive kind of match for all Indians and Pakistanis.

I was never really interested in cricket, I mean first of all I didn’t know how the game was played or the rules, nothing at all. For me it was like “how they can sit so many hours watching one match?”. But this time it was different, there was a World Cup going on, and India was winning! No, It’s not that I’m searching for an Indian boyfriend but many women from Latin America are. Isn’t it great all the magic that the Indian cinema can create around the world? Maybe they have the illusion that India is like a big movie set. That you are on a bus station and suddenly a girl sees a boy and the boy sees the girl, and they start dancing, and everybody else also starts a synchronized dance.

Or maybe is the stability of the Indian married life that has been highlighted in the west or maybe they show in the Indian movies that a man fights for his love and the couple meet and the romance is in the air. The SRK (Shahrukh Khan) charisma is there with the songs and the dance, and even the reality is quite different, their ability to see India is only through the DVDs that they purchase from their local markets or from other few sources.
