Bollywood is a magic world where everything is possible and this time they have added a few spoons of Spanish to spice up a Hindi song.

I’m talking about the song Señorita from the Indian movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The strong voice in Spanish by flamenco singer Maria del Mar Fernández along with the Hindi lyrics make this song very catchy. Read the rest of this entry »

After living here for quite a bit, I have noticed that Indian people are very curious by nature. And if you are a foreigner, well that just enhances their curiosity more and more.

When searching for a maid, my husband is the one who talks to them at first. We have done our own research with the neighbors and we know the rates and what kind of work they do for that money. They come home and agree on a rate, but as soon as they interact with me and they figure out that I’m not Indian they just wanna charge me much more than what they normally charge. They start to ask for an increment on their salary every month. For some strange reason they think they can overcharge me and that I will actually accept that. But I don’t. So the problem starts there. Read More…
